Fire Alarm Service Engineer Responsibilities: As a Fire Alarm Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing service and commissioning activities to life safety systems. Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting service inspections according to company procedures and system requirements
Ensuring high-standard service inspections are performed within agreed timescales
Resolving issues by identifying problems and offering effective solutions
Reporting any deviations between the installed system and specifications to supervisors or managers
Championing a health and safety culture to ensure the safety and well-being of all stakeholders on-site
Education/Experience/Qualifications: To thrive in this role, you should have:
At least 1 year of experience in Conventional Fire Detection Systems and Analogue Addressable Systems
Experience in Air Sampling Systems (Vesda/Wagner) and Gas Suppression Systems
Good working knowledge of BS 5839-1 & 6:2017 and fire alarm software (Morley/Kentec/Advanced)
A full UK driving license and industry on-the-job experience
CSCS/ECS card, preferably FIA
Experience in following risk assessments and method statements closely
Willingness to work on retail and commercial premises
Flexibility to work away when required
A minimum of 1-3 years in a similar role
