My client are looking to grow their Environment and Planning team and this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Ecologist to support this expanding and developing business area. You will be working on a wide variety of projects from high-profile

infrastructure projects across the UK, through to new essential utility development in sensitive locations. As a Principal Ecologist you will: Participate in and take the lead in conversations with stakeholders, Natural England, County Ecologists, and planning professionals from Local Authorities Communicate with clients, who include landowners, engineers, and developers, offering ecological guidance on how to support development on their project. Offer ecological guidance on how to support project developments for clients. Offer the support required to enable the development of utility projects in RAMSAR, SSSI, SAC, and SPA. Assist the team of our client with ecological matters by filling out licence applications and serving as the technical head for ecological surveys. Incorporate into chapters dealing with internal and external experts and environmental stakeholders, as well as screening and scoping for environmental impact assessments. Be able to lead the development and completion of HRAs with little input and be able to advise on the necessity of them. The Successful Candidate will: Keep up knowledge and skills through company-sponsored and external continuing professional development, and as a full member of CIEEM, assume accountability for your own learning and advancement by setting up progress review meetings and keeping an accurate

log of your actions. Keep an eye on, assist, and plan the work and growth of less experienced employees. If necessary, offer constructive line management to your own subordinates. Hold frequent meetings for progress reviews and feedback. Effectively assign tasks to others and
