Job Purpose: As an Incoming Inspector at HQW Aerospace UK, you will play a crucial role in the Quality Department, ensuring that components delivered to our facility meet the highest standards. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for inspecting

and approving materials, conducting measurement checks, and upholding visual standards. Your proactive approach within a small team is vital to maintaining production efficiency, with a focus on prioritizing key deliveries when necessary. Key Role Requirements: Inspect company products in accordance with written instructions and/or supervision guidance Utilize tools, machines, equipment, gauges, and measuring instruments to meet company standards for production, quality assurance, safety, and housekeeping Maintain and report on the condition of equipment used in tasks Visually inspect product components and/or assemblies to ensure freedom from defects Maintain accurate and legible records as required for production and quality assurance Operate specialized measurement instrumentation to confirm product conformance to specifications Set and use a variety of measuring equipment, gauges, and specialized instrumentation Review documentation to ensure received items meet order requirements Collaborate with the Quality Team to promote the Quality Strategy and implement best practices Train others in Quality tools and practices as necessary Knowledge: Experience in an Engineering or Manufacturing Environment Top-level understanding of quality management systems ISO9001, AS9100, AS9120 Ability to interpret Engineering drawings and technical specifications Understanding of Metrology and Measurement equipment Previous experience in an inspection-based role is beneficial Proficiency in IT and computer systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills using Microsoft Office tools Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Basic math and computer skills Attention to detail Ability to work under pressure and remain focused Good hand/eye coordination Behavioural Attributes: Attention to detail. Ability to work independently and proactively to find and solve issues Decisive - Able to confidently make decisions with presented data Effective problem solver Ability to take direction and accept positive criticism Open and honest.
