About Us: Holmesterne is a leading food manufacturing company with a focus on supplying only the finest food products to our partner customers in Retail, Manufacturing and Food Service Our constantly evolving product range includes both raw & cooked products along with ambient ready meals The Role: Identify gaps, food trends and opportunities leading to pro-active development, creating new products to grow our product range. Work towards creative development of new recipes aligned to customer briefs, demonstrating an understanding of customer policies/ brand standards. Present new concepts / ideas both internally & externally Collaborate closely with cross functional teams to bring concepts to life Lead product tasting to provide the team with feedback & suggestions for improvements where needed. Completion of accurate recipes within internal systems, working within the NPD team to ensure product feasibility for manufacturing sites Promote a positive friendly can do attitude within the department What We Offer: £30k Salary 28 days holiday 8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday Desired Skills and Qualifications: Previous experience as an NPD Chef or Technologist Understanding of a food manufacturing environment Excellent customer-facing presentation skills Passionate about food and ingredient quality Education from a food-related college e.g., NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery Food Hygiene and food safety qualifications up to Level 3 A valid UK driving licence is essential, due to our location and customer visits. Permanent Right to Work in the UK Personal Attributes/Skills Inquisitive approach to food and manufacturing with an ability to identify new food trends. Creative/Innovative personality Relishes working in a fast-paced environment in a hands-on capacity with a problem-solving mindset. Excellent food presentation skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Computer literate. Willingness to travel to suppliers/clients or between sites.
