Prep & Event Crew Supervisor

Revolution Event Services Limited are a technical and creative event production and equipment hire company and we are looking to recruit a new staff member to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in the events world, from preparing and maintaining equipment in our warehouse to on-site work across the UK!

Revolution Event Services Limited are a technical and creative event production and equipment hire company and we are looking to recruit a new staff member to join our team.

This is a full time position based on 37.5 hours weekly, rota based covering a mixture of preparing hire orders in the warehouse and delivery and installation of hires. Due to the nature of the business, shifts will include weekends and night work.

We will initially offer a 3 month contract with immediate start. This may be renewed subject to performance.

Training can be given, however previous experience in a technical role within the events industry would be an advantage.


The applicant must be over 21 with a clean driving license, in order to be insured on our vehicles.

Job Description:

Reporting to Managing Director. Responsible for Prep & Event Crew, Prep Assistants.

Prep & Warehouse Operations

  • Clean hire stock, cases, cables & racking.
  • Assist clients with loading & unloading of hires.
  • Test hire stock for functionality and safety.
  • Check for shortages & damages to hire stock.
  • Carry out vehicle checks & general servicing weekly.
  • Keep warehouse & yard clean & tidy.
  • Check stock levels of hire equipment, consumables and kitchen & toilet supplies.
  • Delegate responsibilities to prep assistants, where necessary.

Event Crew Operations

  • Deliver & set-up jobs in accordance with job plans and client/venue instructions.
  • Oversee and coordinate our other event crew & technical staff.
  • Represent the company & liaise with clients & venues on site.
  • Complete paperwork with clients.

Other Duties

  • Follow internal systems & processes.
  • Work in accordance with the company's Diversity, Equal Opportunities and H&S policy.
  • Attend staff meetings, training and development opportunities.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the overall efficiency & moral of the company in implementing new procedures, managing general maintenance of stock/premises and motivation of staff.
  • Keep kitchen & toilet tidy (in accordance with rota)
  • Flexibility to perform other job roles in accordance with the needs of the company.

Person Specification

Essential
Attention to detail with good communication skills.
Ability to understand tasks, plan and delegate appropriately.
Ability to engage with staff, motivating them to achieve end goals in time.
Ability to work effectively as an individual and within a team.
Ability to work flexibly with the change in the needs and demands of the business.
An understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
Clean driving license.

Desirable
Previous Experience in a technical role within the events industry

IT skills, including use of Microsoft packages & email systems.
Van driving experience.
