Residential Advisors

We believe in the power of connecting and sharing. We are a group of millennials with passion to make a difference in education. CL Global (Campus Life Global) is an education company aiming at promoting global learning and culture exchanges. Having taken thousands of students to see the world, we are on a mission to make our programmes the best experience a student can ever have locally. Besides Cambridge, we also run programmes in the US, Italy, Japan and China.

What are you going to do:

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We would like to put a team together with energetic minds who’s willing to share, love traveling, know how to enjoy Cambridge and other places. We are looking for people who are responsible, organized and a good team player.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

For this programme, the students are from Chinese International schools around 15 years old preparing themselves to attend UK universities in the future. As a residential advisor, you are an important part of the students’ experience in Cambridge. You will serve as two main roles. First you are a great local resource to help students enjoy Cambridge. You will introduce programme students to life in Cambridge by organizing fun social activities, leading events and excursions, and providing administrative support for classes. Each day there will be one or two social activities. It is the main responsibility of yours to plan, facilitate and join in these activities with students. You will also take turns to assist in coordinating classes during the day to ensure classes run according to schedule. Apart from that, you will also act as an application advisor, for which you will share your experience on university application and give advice on application procedures, like how to design your written work, how to collect information about courses thus determine a course to follow, what will the professors ask during interviews, etc. You will also share your university academic life. Since the students are yet to attend high school, you might also give advice on high school personal development. It is more important to share your experiences and understanding than to give “right” advice.
