Supporting and playing with disabled and disadvantaged children and young people. You need to work well within a team, be ready to get messy, be silly and have fun. Working at ELHAP is unlike any other job (it is also great for your CV for future jobs, study etc). You can work just over summer and/or continue working with us.
Salary: £8.58 per hour, inclusive of benefits
Hours: Monday to Fridays in school holidays and regular Saturdays throughout term time
Contract: Fixed Term for Summer or Casual (ongoing)
About the role
ELHAP has been running very successful playschemes for nearly 40 years which we are continually developing. You'll be supporting disabled and disadvantaged children and young people in making free play choices at ELHAP,
as well as meeting their everyday needs. We need you to work over the summer holiday or you can work regularly in school holidays and fortnightly Saturdays throughout term-time.
About you
To get the most out of the role you will be motivated and
creative with experience and knowledge in facilitating real adventure play choices and opportunities for disabled children and young people. You'll also be up for getting messy and muddy! Naturally, you'll need experience in supporting disabled or disadvantaged children and young people and if this was in a play setting even better. Please note that you must be aged 18 years or over (this is an OFSTED requirement).
About us
ELHAP is one of only eight adventure playgrounds for disabled children and young people. For nearly 40 years we have provided fantastic play experiences to many thousands of disabled children from across North East London and Essex. We are a unique and magical setting, unlike any other.
