English, Science and Maths tutors (online)

We are a School Placement Advisor based in West London with a fast growing online tutoring business. Our clients are mainly Chinese pupils aged between 7-18. We are currently looking for individuals who are teaching in Independent schools, or are doing or have completed their degree at Oxbridge, Imperial College, LSE, Durham or UCL, as tutors for KS1, KS2, KS3, GCSEs and A Levels for teaching English, Maths and Science. The expected candidate must have had A or A* in the respective subjects. Prior teaching/tutoring experience will be given preference. Young, patient, enthusiastic and serious people are encouraged to apply for this job. Due to the time difference, you will be required to work on weekends, early in the morning, and/or school holidays.

All candidates must be native English speakers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • 1-to-1 and/or small group online tutoring.
  • Digital grading, assigning worksheet and doing white board sessions with students on our platform.
  • Flexible hours for lesson preparation and grading
  • Filling in student feedback forms after each session
  • Contract based job, payment is hours per month
  • Online Training takes about 3 hours (maximum). Training includes using our platform independently and scheduled interactive training sessions on the platform. Training time is not paid for.
  • Experience:

Key Skills:

  • Must have technical skills to work with Internet and tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Solution-oriented problem solver who can succeed in a fast-paced environment and with strong personal drive
  • Proven ability to master new tools and passion for learning
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Awareness of UK Curriculum, and the 11+, 13+, and 16+ entrance tests prep process
  • Good Communication skills with Students
  • Ability to handle process change and be adaptive

Technology:

  • Computer or Laptop (Windows 7 or higher)
  • iPad (any that supports iOs 9 or higher)
