Young, fun and enthusiastic people required to act as chaperones on-board 5 day teen yachting courses. No sailing experience required, although it would be a bonus! Various dates throughout the summer. DBS checks required which we will organise. Fun in the sun is what we're all about!
We are a well established Sailing School on the South Coast of England.To comply with our safeguarding policy, we require a second adult on-board our yachts during our teen yachting courses. The yachts are fully coded and the courses are run by fully qualified RYA Instructors. This is a live aboard position for a number of weeks throughout the summer. Accommodation, food and all equipment will be provided.
It is a non paid position, however during your time with us you will have the opportunity to earn well regarded RYA yachting qualifications worth hundreds of pounds. As a DofE Approved Activity Provider, our courses meet all the criteria for the DofE Gold Residential section. Why not learn a new skill and sign off a section!
We are looking for someone over the age of 18 who can relate well with the 13- 17 age group. You will assist the skipper with the supervision of the teenagers on-board whilst afloat and ashore. Duties will include assisting the teenagers with with cooking duties, organising their kit on-board, generally keeping the yacht ship shape and shore side activities such as beach BBQ's.
