Job description

What is e2 Young Engineers?

e2 Young Engineers offer prestigious after school and weekend activities for primary school children in the fields of engineering and science. The programmes use motorised Lego in order to teach theoretical STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, mathematics) subjects. After a short theoretical explanation, the children will start building motorised Lego models for them to understand and implement the theory they have just learned.

Job Description:

You will be promoting fun while stimulating learning with children. You will be responsible for facilitating hands-on interactive sessions with small groups of up to 16 children, Ages 5-11. (Teacher student ratio is 1:8)

Training:

  • Extensive training and full support provided
  • All equipment and curriculum content supplied
  • *No need of prior knowledge in science or mathematics or Lego building skills

Requirements:

  • You must be impeccably reliable, punctual and enjoy working with children while having a passion for guidance.
  • DBS required (we can arrange).

Hours: Availability weekdays 15:30-18:30

Availability: Term time: 2 or more afternoons per week or Saturdays or during term breaks

Sessions: 75 – 90 minutes

Rate:

  • Lead Instructor GBP 30/session (Extra £5 for pickup/dropoff of kit)
  • Associate Instructor GBP 20/session
  • Accumulate holiday pay

Location: Within the 3 boroughs of London: Hammersmith & Fulhum, Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster
