Sussex Chef are looking for waiting and bar and kitchen staff to join our fun and friendly team of dedicated staff who are passionate and proud to deliver great food and drink. We cater for a vast range of events from small intimate dining experiences, to lavish corporate events and beautiful rustic outdoor weddings so our staff need to be confident but also can be discrete when necessary and capable of relating to all guest types, in all situations. Waiting Staff, Bar Staff and Kitchen Staff.

Your typical day-to-day duties may include:
• Setting up the event area including laying tables.
• Some loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
• Serving food to customers in assorted styles such as a la carte, serving stations, buffet, BBQ and silver service fine dining.
• Serving drinks to the table and/or at the bar
• Ensuring plates, cutlery and glassware is cleared in the correct manor.
• Some preparation of desserts and cold sides such as salads
• Break down and clearing away of area at the end of the event.

Our Ideal candidate would be:
• Reliable and punctual
• Have previous hospitality experience (silver service preferred)
• Be over 18 and have a full driving licence with access to a car.
• A committed team player who enjoys working closely with others.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Eager to learn, have a can-do attitude and enjoy going the extra mile.
• Keen to progress and take on responsibilities.
• Have excellent communication and customer service skills
• A mixture of hosting skills, waiting and beverage (bar/cocktail) knowledge would be ideal.
• Equally as important is a positive, proactive attitude and warm personality.
