Social Media and Content Intern in Brixton, London.

TruckStopToday.com is looking for a Social Media & Content intern to join the business on a part time basis with a view to making this a permanent role. We are a start up looking to grow our social media presence with your help! TruckStopToday.com is the UK’s first online library of Food Trucks and has over 1,000 Gourmet Food Trucks in the portfolio from all over the UK.

What are you going to do:

Role (Part Time)

Starting July 2017 (Three month trial).

We are looking for an intern to work 2 to 3 days a week from the house (we are start up). Two days a week will be with the Founder of the business with the other day you can work from home but available on email/telephone.

You will work with the Founder to improve the social media strategy, utilise hootsuite to schedule daily posts. Increase Facebook likes. Increase social following on Instagram and Twitter following the company's growth strategy.

Monitoring and replying to tweets.

Posting tweets on a daily basis regarding topics that can be related to the company.

Posting on FB about which traders are where (we send them to 25 locations around the UK) including images of the Trucks and sometimes menus.

Working with the Founder to improve the social media strategy.

You will liaise with the Food Trucks to increase the number of TruckStories we have on site with the aim of having a TruckStory for every single trader.

Sending the questionnaire to them and uploading their content to the site.

You will be required to report on weekly successes including the number of TruckStories received, number of new Trucks added to the site, number of articles written and uploaded to the site as well as the social media areas of interest.

  • You should;

  • Have experience of Social Media Development.
  • Have experience of Photoshop.
  • Be working on or have completed a degree related to social media marketing.
  • Have excellent communication and editing skills.
  • Be able to create, compose, and edit written materials.
  • Be able to write simply with a conversational style.
  • Be able to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Have a working knowledge of Hootsuite.
  • Be a self starter.
  • Be extremely motivated.
