Thomas Cook Money is a holiday bank.  We want to make holiday money easy for customers by helping them save, borrow, spend and protect themselves in a fun and rewarding way.  We are embarking on a 5 year journey fixing what we have today, building a new customer proposition we can be proud of, then growing that proposition into new geographies.

As Technical Delivery Manager you will be responsible for managing the delivery of the TCM technology platform as well as the technology aspects of TCM projects.

You will provide a centre of expertise for delivery of technical solutions for the Thomas Cook Money business.  Working with the technology team & external partners you will ensure that solutions and functionality are delivered.

Additional accountabilities will include:

• Setting up the delivery structure for the delivery of the platform by in-house and outsourced partners
• Manage the delivery of technology platform for TCM in close engagement with various partners and suppliers
• Compliance to the IT architectures and technical strategies as defined by the Senior Architect and Thomas Cook Money executives
• Ensuring  technical designs for delivery of new services /projects and functionalities by the external supply base, are aligned to the technology strategy and platform
• Translating technical issues into business language that can be clearly articulated and understood by the wider business community

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

• Evidence of delivering major technical change in a large organisation or fast moving start up with strong project management experience
• Ability to influence at all levels, able to provide persuasive fact-based arguments to comply with standards and policies
• Very strong technology background, with a focus on, technical architectures, compliance and standards
• Thorough understanding of one or all of: websites, integration layer (API) and network topology
• Very strong knowledge of technology solutions and technical platforms and an ability to translate this knowledge into solutions
• Experienced in translating business strategy into technology strategy
• Technology or delivery experience in a financial service environment
•  

Technical / professional qualifications:

• Extensive experience within a Technical IT Project Manager role
• Project Management qualification
