  • Overall responsibility for the Thomas Cook Group Airlines infrastructure related elements of all IT-services and projects affecting internal and external data centers, websites, telecommunications, back office systems, networks and technical IT-security etc.
  •  Manage the strategic and operational planning of the IT-infrastructure, including business requirements, project planning and the allocation of resources.
  •  Manage the operation, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrade, and support of all IT-infrastructure components including servers, operating systems, hardware and communication networks. Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and develop maintenance schedules for network and system equipment.
  •  Develop and ensure the IT-security and integrity of all systems in the organisation.
  •  Develop and implement all infrastructure policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing and service provision.
  •  Negotiate contracts and service agreements. Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives for infrastructure and operations and develop strategies to maximise business uptime through making our infrastructure resilient and developing business continuity plans.
  •  Create and motivate an IT-team responsible for developing and supporting the business demands, creating a working environment that supports service teams which are globally dispersed.

These qualifications and skills distinguish you from others:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of technical experience in a business critical and high availability environment
  •  Proven experience as a team leader or on equivalent position within critical IT-Projects
  •  Proven expert knowledge of current security technologies, procedures and architectures, web-application-security, endpoint security, network and security environments
  •  Excellent knowledge of SIEM, APT, DDoS, firewall, load balancer, IDS, IPS etc.
  •  Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and expert knowledge in PCI DSS and ITILV3
  •  Proven knowledge in managing cloud-based technologies and data centers, hosting, server, storage and backup, databases and monitoring systems
  •  Business-oriented and consider the business during planning and operation
  •  Excellent communication skills (German, English, Danish)
  •  Ability to build relationships and cooperate multiple stakeholders
  •  Airline experience

The primary responsibility for the Group Airlines Head of IT-Infrastructure & IT-Security is to manage the team in the IT-Infrastructure department and the various infrastructure providers to ensure the alignment with the objectives of the organisation. To plan, coordinate, direct and design all strategic and operational activities for the IT-Infrastructure, as well as to provide direction and support for IT-solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations. Working closely together with decision makers to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organisation.
