Quality Assurance Manager - full-time - Wimbledon - South London

Job description

What will you do?
  • Managing day to day tasks within the Quality Assurance department, ensuring internal compliance with our Quality Management Systems and externally with all legislative requirements
  • To investigate and action any potential recalls
  • Generating key technical KPI data and compiling reports on customer complaints
  • Working closely with other internal departments to ensure continuous quality improvement
  • Managing the customer complaints, ensuring all complaints are thoroughly investigated and responded to in a timely manner and working with our supply base to drive complaint reduction
  • Overseeing supplier complaint performance and driving continuous improvement
  • Providing technical guidance to the complaints team and ensuring team members are driven, motivated and work towards quality driven results for the business
  • Oversee, and give guidance to, EHO / TSO complaints
  • Manage all non-food customer complaints, giving guidance where required, testing samples and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Manage the sensory analysis programme to ensure our products meet our high quality requirements compared to the rest of the market
  • Use sensory analysis to develop products
  • Manage external sensory analysis partners
  • Trend analysis and reporting of sensory testing
 
What will you need?
  • Degree educated or equivalent in a food related discipline
  • Proven, substantial experience working either in food manufacturing or in a retail environment
  • Experience managing a small team in a similar position
  • Experience in direct customer and supplier interfaces
  • Excellent knowledge of BRC, HACCP and QMS standards
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • German language is desirable but not essential
  • Full, clean driving licence
