Digital Brand Manager - L’Oreal Professionnel (Maternity Cover)

L’Oréal Professionnel (LP) is the #1 brand in the professional market as well as the leader in innovation and hair trends , trusted and loved by over  9000 salons In the UK.  The L’Oréal Professionnel Colorants Portfolio is primarily made up of our two permanent colour brands; INOA and Majirel and our tone on tone brand DIA.  INOA, the world’s first ammonia free permanent colour was an industry breakthrough launched in 2009.While Majirel celebrated its 35th birthday in 2013 and remains an incredibly well trusted and recommended salon colour and is used every day in almost 7000 salons Nationwide.  Our tone on tone colour brands DIA Richesse and DIA Light and our lighteners ranges are essential tools for a huge range of salon colour services from highlights to express colour.

The brand also has a number of  specialist retail ranges including Série Expert - designed to tackle all key hair concerns, Pro Fiber - our first long-lasting recharging hair care program for damaged hair, Styling – Tecni-Art the LFW backstage favourite, the innovative Steampod and the luxurious Mythic Oil haircare range.

 

What are key highlights of this role?

We are seeking a dynamic individual with existing digital and eCommerce expertise to be the brands digital guardian and champion. Take complete ownership of the brands online presence: develop the brands digital strategy to deliver the overall business objectives, drive innovation and best practice across all areas of digital to meet the brands pre-defined KPIs.

As well as being responsible for the LP website, the successful candidate will lead and champion the L’Oréal Professional Products Division (PPD) B2B ecommerce website, the fastest growing transactional website across the whole division. The PPD Ecom platform is an innovative solution, supporting the full portfolio of PPD brands used every day by salons nationwide to log-on and replenish their favourite products.

 


Execute & schedule best in class content

  • Manage merchandising/content updates across LPPD B2B Ecom platform and L’Oréal Professionnel brand website, RRP website and B2B Extranet, ensuring all content is executed on time, within brand priorities and without disruption.
  • Work closely with marketing and PR to compile legally approved content briefs for brand websites as well as e-tail asset packs.
  • Maintain and grow the Salon Locator with the full portfolio of L’Oréal Professionnel salons, implement plans to increase engagement and conversion.
  • Work closely with the Events team to deliver booking platforms that the events team can then populate with content.
  • Manage the CRM briefing template following the CRM team’s recommendations. Working closely with marketing, develop compelling marketing briefs. Deliver to the CRM team on time.

 

Achieve B2B Retail target

  • Maximise on B2B ecommerce revenue by increasing conversion rate, basket value and increased retention.
  • Work closely with all LPPD Brands to drive the B2B e-commerce agenda and priorities and ensure these are in line with agreed strategies.
  • Maintain and grow the LPPD B2B Ecom platform cross-divisional, ensuring a 1st class user experience.

 

Technical Performance

  • Lead on technical performance, ensuring the best in class user experience with no down time.
  • Project lead IT, Hosting partner, DMI and agencies to conduct regular health checks, identifying and solving any issues.
  • Proactively leverage insights to deliver website enhancements.

 

Driving net visits

  • Working closely with our search agency implement plans for SEO optimization including content hubs and product copy as well as updates and improvements to site architecture.
  • Develop and grow paid search, leveraging brand and non-brand terms as well as PLA’s
  • Working closely with PR to ensure bloggers are linking back to the website. 
  • Analyse website visits using Google Analytics as well as data dashboards to offer recommendations to grow net visits, reduce bounce rate and UX improvements.
  • Explore and propose other opportunities to reach new customers.

 

 

Preferred qualifications/experience:

 

 

  • Solid digital and/or eCommerce management experience where you can demonstrate evidence of delivering rapid growth and success
  • Excellent handling of many compelling priorities
  • eCommerce experience in a start-up environment would be advantageous but essential is the ability to show evidence of working in a fast paced and demanding workplace
  • Broad digital experience covering Social Media, Email, CMS, Mobile
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels
  • SEM/SEO/analytics management experience is desirable
  • Flexible team player willing to pitch in and support the wider team where required
  • Presentation skills – Both written and verbal
  • Beauty industry experience would be beneficial but is not essential
