As part of your placement, you will support the team in the following tasks:
In the office (Lambeth):
- Supporting PR campaign
- Supporting overall marketing campaign
- Liaising with artists and designers
- Social media support
- Updating the website
- Putting together e-newsletters via Mailchimp
- Market research
- Ticketing support
- Database updates
- General office administration
On site at the events (Kew):
- Invigilating exhibition
- Greeting and assisting guests and visitors
- Liaising with artists
- Checking entry tickets
- Liaising with delivery companies
- Social media support
- Art handling (maintaining sculptures)
- Gain experience of social media marketing
- Build on creative copywriting skills for company blog, social media and newsletters
- Learn to use a bespoke website content management system
- Develop strong interpersonal and team skills working within a close-knit, busy events team
- Expand time-management skills working on a number of different tasks and projects
- Manage and create databases, identifying key contacts
- Develop outstanding customer service skills, assisting the general public and VIP guests
- Experience live events at leading London venue
- Be part of London's most exciting new contemporary art event in it's inaugural year
Essential:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Passion and enthusiasm for the industry
- Dynamic, enthusiastic and reliable
- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Customer or visitor experience
Desirable:
- Knowledge of contemporary art
- Events experience
