Purpose of your new role

 


Reporting to the Technical Development Director, you will be required to have a full and in-depth understanding of all products within the Professional Products Division in order to carry out extensive thorough and detailed tests. The accuracy of the practical results followed up by written reports on the analysis enable the brands to have optimum knowledge on product performance to support the salons in the servicing of their clients.




Key job accountabilities

 

Your key accountabilities for this role are:



  • To systematically test formulae across the L’Oréal Professional portfolio to identify key properties and suitability to UK the market
  • To understand and carry out testing protocol
  • To improve and perfect hairdressing skills and knowledge i.e application techniques and doctrine execution contributing to the creation of new doctrines
  • To gain a true understanding of colouration formulae, composition and performance potential
  • To fully understand the role of testing/education in a product life cycle
  • To conduct in-salon depositions across all brands, establishing relationships with key contributors from our client base
  • Gain knowledge of competitor brands through the use of their products and education process
  • Effective report writing with clear and focused objectives / needs
  • To organise and participate in International work shops and focus groups with hairdressers
  • To provide regular up-dates for internal partners i.e. the Salon & Consumer Advisory Department LPPD
  • To continue to develop the Technical Testing Department data base for models


 

 

Key Skills


  • At all times promote general salon practice and respect Health & Safety best practice
  • Have a good working knowledge of Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook to be able to write reports and prepare presentations
  • To have experience as a Technical Consultant or Educator
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Curiosity, patience and exceptional attention to detail
