We’ve got a fantastic job for a Technical Manager - Food to join our Head Office in Bradford. Reporting to the Senior Technical Manager – Food, you will be cover a food category directly aligned to commercial. The job is responsible for delivering product safety, legality, quality, root cause investigations and delivering project improvement work across trading functions, product, retail standards and own brand suppliers.
This role is fixed term for 12 months to cover a period of maternity leave.
Requirements of the Job
You are responsible for providing technical advice and support at the heart of the trading category so that business and commercial improvements are delivered. This role is responsible for delivery of the safety, legality, quality and integrity of Morrisons Own Brand products in your category, ensuring customer’s health is always protected and prosecution is avoided.

In this job you will need a food science degree with some postgraduate experience within the food industry. You will also have working knowledge of HACCP in order to deliver product safety. You will need to have an ability to identify risk and manage to an acceptable level with an ability to influence business decisions that impact on product safety, integrity and quality.
