IS Risk Manager in Bradford

We’re looking for an Information Security Risk Manager to join our Technology team at our Bradford based support centre. 

In this role you’ll be reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, there’ll be two parts to your role; the first (and biggest) is risk management, the second is Information Security Awareness. You’ll be looking to drive a high level of understanding around Morrisons’ position on information security through the provision of awareness training, materials and briefing sessions.

Here at Morrisons our  Information Security Risk Manager is accountable for things like this;

• Obtaining and collating information around information security risks and remedial action
• Tracking progress against plan and risk closures
• Producing operational data and MI, business insight and analysis for key operational stakeholders
• Managing the provision of information security risk waivers
• Commissioning and rolling out of information security awareness training and conducting regular awareness raising activities

What skills and qualifications do I need to be a successful  Information Security Risk Manager?

• Broad understanding of information security principles and objectives
• Knowledge of good practice in information security controls
• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders at various levels
• Enthusiastic about information security and the ability to translate this and pass on to others
• Intellectually curious – keen to learn and understand more around the information security agenda and the impact on the business
• Identifying information security risks in a large organisation
• Maintenance of a risk register
• Designing information security controls
• Experience of information security awareness training is desirable.
