Carer/Companion (EXPERIENCE NOT REQUIRED) in Wirral

We are looking for friendly, kind, compassionate people who like to spend time with older people and build a friendly, supportive but professional relationship.

What are you going to do

  • Are you seeking 16 – 25 hours work per week?
  • Do you have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle daily?
  • Are you able to work at least one weekend day on a regular basis?
  • Are you happy for our client to DBS check you?
  • Do you have experience of caring for a family member and enjoy helping to enhance a person's life? (Desirable but not essential)

Our client is looking for friendly, kind, compassionate people who like to spend time with older people and build a friendly, supportive but professional relationship and work on a part time basis. You will visit elderly people in their own home, providing companionship & support to them, on a regular basis - you will have fixed availability to allow you to do this. You must be available to work at least ONE weekend day, and some evening shifts. You will become a reliable & trusted person for the people you provide care to, enabling them to remain independent in their own homes.

Don't worry if you don't have care sector experience, our clients have extensive training and on-going development opportunities that will enable to you deliver their special brand of relationship-led care.

The Role

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Companionship, providing good company to people in their own home
  • Assisting with some housekeeping
  • Meal preparation
  • Taking clients for appointments and outings
  • Helping with food shopping
  • Personal care
  • Assisting clients with washing and dressing

There are 4 shifts (known as bands), these start at 7.15am, and the last shift ends at 11.15pm (the last call is typically only until 10.15pm-10.30pm), however you will not work the full day, just sections of the day as selected by yourself.

CAREGivers are supported by a local, caring team who are on hand to support CAREGivers, coordinate care schedules, facilitate communication, and recognise outstanding CAREGivers for their dedication through the CAREGiver of the Year Award program.

Whether it's companionship and company that is needed, help with housework, meals, a spot of food shopping or more personal care, our clients provide assurance to the elderly and their families that they are being cared for with dignity and empathy.

The Location

We have work available across the Wirral, you will be able to select the area that you work, the aim is to offer you work in the area that you live.
