Do you have experience of working with pupils who have English as an additional language? Schools across Cardiff are looking for passionate Teaching Assistants or Learning Support Assistants with experience of working with children in need of EAL support. I have been working with a number of schools who each, pride themselves on providing the highest quality of education for all pupils and aim to ensure every child enjoys their time at school, while achieving their best.
As well as providing tuition support to develop students' language skills, you will also be asked to provide practical assistance to the staff and cater for the personal welfare and educational needs of the pupils. Experience of behavioural or SEMH support is also desirable as is experience in Read Write Inc. You will be responsible for assisting the Teacher in planning and delivering class activities, support and work with individuals and small groups on all stages of language development, contribute to the management of pupil behaviour and assist the teacher to prepare the classroom including materials and equipment.
