1 - 32 hours per week
Between £10.00 and £15.00 Per Hour

What are you going to do:

We require a landing site for gauging market interest in a new fitness technology product we are developing. The site must look clean and professional and will inform potential customer leads about our new product. This will mostly be an “about” page but will also need to collect customer details via a couple of short forms. The site must function on both desktop and mobile platforms.

This page will also be used for A/B testing and so, will need to direct 50% of traffic to one version of the page and 50% to another version with small differences. Metrics for both versions must be separate and easily trackable. This will help us to effect research into which changes result in increased conversion rates, allowing us to be continually improving the page and its performance.

Most work can be carried out remotely but it will be advantageous if you are close enough to Rickmansworth to work face to face at regular intervals throughout the project. As we are a young start-up, you will have a high level of responsibility for the project and have the ability to offer suggestions and your own input into the development of this site.

Responsibilities are as follows:

  1. Develop and build the site including data collection forms.
  2. Ensure smooth functioning on desktop and mobile devices.
  3. Ensure the site is set up for A/B testing.
  4. Apply necessary changes during the testing phase.

What we offer:

This is a one-off paid contract and you will gain vital experience in working with a fast-paced start-up and being responsible for the completion and success of the project. You will also be strongly considered for a permanent roll within the company following the completion of this project.

We are a young company and as such are very ambitious, open minded and strive to do great things in our industry!

What we ask:

  • 3rd Year Computer Science Undergraduate on track for a 1st or 2:1
  • Must have built some similar sites in the past and be willing to show examples.
  • We ask that applicants possess the following attributes:

    1. Strong front and back end web development skills
    2. Ability to develop a professional looking site on both desktop and mobile devices
    3. Good knowledge of SEO techniques
    4. Strong communication skills
    5. Knowledge of online marketing tools advantageous.
