Heriot-Watt degree programme This programme is specifically for students studying on the BSc Actuarial Science course at Heriot-Watt University. The PwC Actuarial Placement Programme will allow you to gain work experience in the Actuarial Services London or Edinburgh team for two separate six month periods; in stage three and stage five. It's the perfect way to gain valuable industry experience during your time at university.
You'll be working alongside graduate trainees and experienced professionals on everyday projects so you can expect to gain a proper insight into working life at PwC.
You'll form part of a highly skilled team and be expected to make a useful contribution to a whole range of client projects. Whatever projects you tackle, it's likely you'll spend some time out of the office. Your clients could be a few streets away or even in another city.
The work can be intense at times but there'll be plenty of fun

We'll also be looking to boost your ability to soak up complex business information, as well as your professional confidence - factors which will make a real difference when you return to university. .
What you'll do You'll work with clients from the insurance industry, but also with clients from outside the insurance industry where you'll work with clients from the banking sector (retail and investment), the healthcare sector, the public sector, as well as corporate clients from the non-financial sector - companies like energy and utility providers.
What you need to get in
At least 128 UCAS points including a B in maths A-level or equivalent
Be on course for at least a 21 degree
Be on stage 2 of the BSc Actuarial Science degree programme at Heriot-Watt.
