During this week long paid placement, you'll shadow one of our female leaders within the business area to:
  • attend meetings
  • work with external clients and internal teams
  • undertake research and complete small tasks
You may also have the opportunity to shadow some of our graduate joiners to find out more about their experiences at PwC

Aimed primarily at women seeking an experience in professional services to get an insight into the opportunities at PwC. You'll need a good academic record and we'll expect you to demonstrate how you've used your initiative and team-working skills. You should also have done plenty of research into the area of PwC you'd like to join. We strongly advise you to apply for the business area and office that interests you the most as any subsequent offers will be made for this area only.

Consulting
You'll be part of the team that delivers practical, insightful advice that gets straight to the heart of the big business issues.

Whichever part of Consulting you join, you'll help organisations of all shapes and sizes grow faster and work smarter. And whatever issues you're tackling on their behalf, you'll work with inspiring leaders to deliver results they can measure and a standard of client service that's truly second to none.

Strategy
Strategy is a rapidly growing strategy consulting practice within PwC. Our work is focused in two areas:

Corporate Strategy: offering a wide range of strategic advice to major international companies and organisations
M&A Strategy: advising leading private equity houses, major banks and companies undertaking mergers and acquisitions on investment opportunities
As an Associate in Strategy you will work across a range of industries, gain access from an early stage to top level management and play a critical part in our project teams.

You will be working for a prestigious range of clients, including the largest private equity houses and leading corporate household names


What you'll gain
Impress us during the three days and following a final senior interview, you could well earn a place on one of our programmes for the year after.

Shadowing days
The date of your placement will be dictated by the availability of the leader and your recruiter will share with you the available dates when you are offered a place.

The start date you've chosen to apply to will determine when your placement will take place:
  • Spring - your placement will take place during the Easter holidays
  • Summer - your placement will take place during the Summer holidays
  • Winter - your placement will take place during the Christmas holidays
What you need to get in
  • You'll need to be in your first year of a 3 year undergraduate degree or second year of a four year undergraduate degree;
  • Be on course for a 2.1 degree or above in any subject

Application Timetable
  • Deadline for completing your online application and uploading your CV with a cover letter is 11.00pm 7th January 2018
  • Deadline for completing online testing is 11.00pm 9th January 2018
  • Your application will be held at this point and we'll let you know whether you have successfully passed our screening stage on 30th January 2018
  • Assessment events will be held between 8th and 9th February
