Undergraduate work placement
These eleven-month placements are for students who need to complete a placement as part of their degree. You could sit a selection of professional accounting exams and leave with a graduate job offer to fast track into a second year role upon graduation.

You'll work alongside graduate trainees and experienced professionals on everyday projects. So you'll get a good insight into working life at PwC.

Internal Firm Services
Internal Firm Services business area is responsible for providing generalist HC support across our business which is comprised of over 17,000 UK employees across 35 offices. The HC team acts as a liaison, advisor and facilitator between the business and specialist HC support teams, allowing PwC to operate effectively to meet its people agenda.

Learning and Development

One L&D is PwC's internal learning and development function. Our ambition is to be a world-class learning function, partnering with the business to deliver L&D which meets the needs of our people and helps deliver the Firm’s strategic priorities.
The One L&D Firmwide Curriculum Team are responsible for supporting all parts of our business in developing their people, including Assurance, Tax, Deals and Consulting). We design and deliver programmes that focus on business skills which are critical for building their self-awareness, developing successful relationships with clients, and effectively leading teams.

The L&D Business Placement will provide support to the Curriculum Leaders, Development Practitioners and Programme Implementation teams to ensure that learning programmes are planned, resourced and delivered effectively. They will be exposed to a range of programmes, work with a highly motivated team and meet client facing staff throughout their time with us.
Responsibilities include:
  • Providing support to development practitioners in development activities, design, development, delivery and evaluation of L&D activities, applying best practice techniques to continuously improve the programmes.
  • Contributing to marketing material and communications, including the content of My Development and Spark - the internal PwC portals.
  • Supporting and coordinating training programmes for Firmwide delegates.
  • Monitoring waitlists and maintaining accurate records of programme participants
  • Sourcing suitable training locations using internal and external networks.
  • Identifying suitable tutor/facilitators and for complex programmes ensuring that a process is in place to resource tutors /key speakers on to events.
  • Identifying on-site support resources, including communications with venues and suppliers e.g. onsite production /AV scheduling.
  • Liaison with the Customer Services Team to support their administration of the programmes effectively. This will include review of revised process manuals.
  • Ensuring consistent review of results throughout the evaluation process.
  • Contribute to measuring and reporting on the effectiveness and value of the range of programmes.

What you need to get in
  • You'll need to be on course for a 2.1 degree or above in any subject
  • You'll need to be on four-year degree programme that features a sandwich placement element
