Contract type: Up to 12 months
Hours: Up to 37 hours per week
Salary: £20,149 per annum

About the role: 

The Land Registry are looking to recruit four enthusiastic undergraduates to join a forward thinking organisation that recognises talent and encourages personal development.

Joining them for a 12 month placement within their Digital, Data and Technology Directorate in the vibrant, waterfront city of Plymouth, you'll have the opportunity to work across a number of different IT areas, developing your skills and experience. You will be working with, and supporting, their key operational staff who build and maintain HMLR's IT systems.

This year will be tailored to meet your development needs and experience in a variety of different areas. They will work with you to ensure you get the most out of your time with them. They will support your development aspirations and offer flexibility in your working week to enable you to achieve a positive work-life balance.

About you: 

You must currently be in a relevant (IT-related) degree programme, and looking for a placement year in industry. You will have knowledge or experience of some of the following: databases, data and systems security, building and maintaining hardware, object-oriented programming, Test or Behavioural Driven Development, object orientated design and analysis, Linux, cloud technologies and/or agile principles.

Evidence of the ability to organise your own work and prioritise tasks is required, as is evidence of working as part of a team to achieve a team goal or task. The ability to think ahead, anticipate problems and use effective analytical and problem solving skills is also necessary.

You may have experience of the following: ICT, IT Graduate, Industrial IT Placement, Information Systems, ICT Systems, Testing, Agile, Networks, Infrastructure, Apprentice, Undergraduate, Linux, Agile, Databases, IT Undergraduate, etc.
