Tech-savvy Data Capture Field Operatives - Various Locations

Service Innovation Group UK is looking for self-motivated, energetic, confident and tech-savvy data capture/input executives.

What are you going to do

We are looking to recruit operatives to cover the following regions and wider surrounding areas: Oxford, Cambridge,  Maidstone, Southampton, London (Greater London, M25 area), Birmingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, and Hull.

We are looking for independent field operatives that will visit retail establishments (shops, outlets, shopping malls) and collect data on mobile devices. You will be recording information primarily with smart phones and can work with up to 5 devices at one given time.

This is a really exciting opportunity for the right candidate, the role is based on a temporary contract and runs for 4-6 weeks only - starting on January the 29th. This role will be field based and will include travel in and around the UK. Car and driving license are ideal but not essential. 

Are you self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative to problem-solve and troubleshoot minor technical issues as well as check your work prior to submission for accuracy? Yes, then this is the job for you!

As a Data Capture/Input Executive you will be responsible for:

  • Working outdoors, travelling to a variety of retail establishments in all weathers using Sat nav or similar navigational tracking for support.
  • Performing a data call which may entail activating software to automatically gather info or providing a basic install - handling 4-5 mobile phones.
  • Pre-planning your call schedule to ensure maximum efficiency and making good any previous short-falls.
  • Verification of data provided prior to upload to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Basic problem solving in the case of failed equipment or technology
  • Ability to clearly communicate issues to Team Leaders

  • Competency & confidence with technology- smart phones/android/ PC/Macs
  • Able to navigate through apps, upload and save info
  • Recognise when something has not functioned correctly and follow a basic set of troubleshooting instructions.

Communication Skills:

  • Must be proficient and fluent in English both written and verbally - if not first language
  • Numerate and able to understand and work to targets including planning contingencies
  • Reliable, honest and Trustworthy

  • Travel Arrangements:

  • We require full flexibility and the flexibility to change your working schedule including working occasionally outside of normal hours.
  • We require you to cover large territories and have the availability to stay away overnight for up to a week at a time.
