About The Role
We’ve got a fantastic job for a Site Technical Manager to join the senior team at our Flowerworld business based in Derby. You will shape, develop and implement the Technical strategy for the site, and during a period of significant planned growth, you will influence change programs in a vertically integrated supply chain.
 
Requirements of the Job

As Site Technical Manager, you will be a strong decision maker and will work with colleagues across the business to identify, escalate and manage risks, deal with incidents and improve processes. You will manage raw material quality and compliance alongside welfare, supplier assurance, scorecards, approval list and audits. You will be responsible for delivering strategic technical plans for site and running support groups around this strategy. You will support external regulatory and enforcement agencies, and be the technical adviser for third party customers whilst contributing to the overall management and strategic direction of the Flowerworld business.

About You
You will ideally be degree qualified from a relevant science, manufacturing, chemistry, engineering, business or a closely related discipline, and have a good working knowledge of all accreditation standards and relevant legislation. Ideally you will have a lead assessor qualification and/or significant experience of supplier auditing. You will have an appreciation of site safety and legal compliance and a sound understanding of relevant technologies.

About our Flowerworld Site

Flowerworld employs around 460 colleagues located on a 17.5 acre site in Derby. Our Morrisons dedicated facility supplies bouquets of flowers each week to not only our Morrisons store but also a growing 3rd party customer base
