Technical Manager Non Food - Household, Pet, Health and Beauty in Bradford

We’ve got a fantastic job for a Technical Manager Non Food - Household, pet, Health and Beauty to join our Head Office in Bradford. Reporting to the Senior Technical Manager Ambient and Non Food, you will manage product categories aligned to commercial. The job is responsible for delivering product safety, legality, quality, root cause investigations and delivering project improvement work across trading functions, product, retail standards and own brand supplies.

Requirements of the Job

• Plan and implement the Morrisons product surveillance programme to assess product consistency and drive improvements where required
  
• Review customer complaint trends, social media posts and media reviews to identify product issues and implement the product withdrawal and recall processes if appropriate
• Ensure that there is a formally agreed product specification in place for
  Morrisons own brand products to ensure they are safe, legal and fit for
  intended purpose
• Develop and issue clear and concise technical standards, policies,procedures and communications for your key stakeholders
• Complete the technical selection process including risk assessment to
  authorise approval status to new suppliers to Morrisons
• Assess the supplier integrity programme for your product area, monitoring performance of suppliers against key KPI’s and work with the trading team to ensure the category is working with the right suppliers and manufacturing sites
• Verify that all manufacturing sites are routinely audited against the Morrisons Manufacturing Standard and any necessary corrective action plans are implemented by suppliers in a timely manner
• Maintain the delivery of the end to end quality process in your product
  categories and consult with trading teams to ensure that customer’s quality expectations are delivered
• Conduct timely investigation and instigating the product withdrawal and recall processes based on sound risk assessment for any incident affecting Morrisons own brand products and support branded product incidents. All issues should be closed with robust corrective actions.
