Undergraduate work placement
These eleven-month placements are for students who need to complete a placement as part of their degree. You could sit a selection of professional accounting exams and leave with a graduate job offer to fast track into a second year role upon graduation.

You'll work alongside graduate trainees and experienced professionals on everyday projects. So you'll get a good insight into working life at PwC.

Internal Firm Services
Internal Firm Services business area is responsible for providing generalist HC support across our business which is comprised of over 17,000 UK employees across 35 offices. The HC team acts as a liaison, advisor and facilitator between the business and specialist HC support teams, allowing PwC to operate effectively to meet its people agenda.

Global Mobility
PwC’s mobility vision is to invest in immediate and future mobility and inspire our people as a seamless network – to deliver quality services to our clients and each other. The Global Mobility (GM) network facilitates the international mobility programme providing expert consulting and services that enable the achievement of this vision.

The international mobility programme supports PwC’s UK strategy to strengthen the global network, drive revenues from international investments as well as play an integral role in developing our network. It is critical for the GM team to provide exceptional GM service to both internal clients, its international assignee population and our International Business Travellers (IBT’s).

The Global Mobility team is 18 strong who work cohesively in a supportive and collaborative environment. This is a varied and technical HC role which has key responsibilities which support the team in Management Information (MI) reporting, database management and project management. We expect the placement to be challenging, exciting, fast paced and most of all rewarding. Responsibilities (may vary)
  • Provision of regular and ad-hoc reports to meet the UK and global reporting needs.
  • Develop new methods of manipulating and presenting data where applicable.
  • Responsibility for coordination of cultural awareness sessions for all inbound international assignees.
  • Responsibility for UK International Business Traveller (IBT) reporting, data analysis and invitation letter creation
  • Assist in the annual global tax compliance process and managing the collection of HMRC refunds and repayments to assignees or other PwC territories.
  • Working with GM, internal UK and Global assignment tax service teams, supporting them with the payment of Short Term assignees, ensuring that PwC remains compliant with UK tax laws.
  • During ‘busy seasons’ and for specific GM programmes there will be the opportunity to widen the support provided to GM team members to include activities such as programme induction coordination.

What you need to get in
  • You'll need to be on course for a 2.1 degree or above in any subject
  • You'll need to be on four-year degree programme that features a sandwich placement element

You must be able to demonstrate the following:
  • IT proficient with excellent Excel and Powerpoint skills in order to prepare regular reports that will be shared across the team and with a variety of stakeholders
  • Excellent administrative skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Confidence to ask questions and challenge ideas
  • An interest in developing data analysis skills to shape GM recommendations to the business
  • Ability to proactively manage own time, prioritise and maintain motivation when faced with large numbers of tasks
  • Able to work cohesively in a team and on individual projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – you must be able to flex your style to engage and communicate with a variety of different stakeholders
  • A practical and sensible approach to problem solving

However, if you're in full-time education in the UK under the Tier 4 (General) category, current regulations may permit temporary employment during holiday periods or as part of your studies.
