An opportunity to work and support a team of young people on the NCS experience during summer 2018.
The National Citizen Service staff will be responsible for a team of young people aged 15-17 years old across a four week personal
development experience. Successful candidates will lead, supervise and manage the group on two residential and then to plan and deliver a community social action project. You will be involved with a national initiative to shape young
people and improve communities.
The summer National Citizen Service programme consists of:
•A 5 day (4 night) personal development residential in North Wales.
•A 5 day (4 night) social action residential in the local community.
•2 youth led weeks of social action project planning & delivery that will benefit the local community.
There are two roles available during summer 2018 with various different start dates. All staff will receive a full weekend of training, an enhanced DBS check and a staff hoody!
We are looking for self motivated, energetic and creative people to ensure the young people have a safe and fun experience!
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
The National Citizen Service Group Leader will be
responsible for:
•Facilitating and leading a group of 15 young people including behaviour management.
•The health and safety and behaviour management of the group
•Pastorally caring for the group.
•Enhancing the young people's skills, confidence, personal and social development.
•Delivering sessions to the young people.
•Responsible for the guided reflection and learning of the young people.
The National Citizen Service Group Assistant will be responsible for
•Assisting with the Health and safety and behaviour management of the group
•Pastorally caring for the group.
•Enhancing the young people's skills, confidence, personal and social development.
•Assisting with the delivery of sessions to the young people
•Assisting the guided reflection sessions and learning of the young people
