About the role

 

The Travel Insurance Commercial Manager role is to improve sales conversion levels and drive the commercial returns of the Travel Insurance business through an Omni Channel approach (Retail/On-line/Direct), maximising commercial/customer propositions via channel liaison. It also covers the management of the end to end supply chain, systems, profit & loss and customer experience to maximise the revenue return. The role is also to work in conjunction with the underwriter (WhiteHorse Ireland dac) developing and implementing new product propositions and paths to growth to ensure a future strategy for the Travel Insurance business. 

 

Key accountabilities / responsibilities

 

The role has accountability for the UK sales performance for Travel Insurance working closely with Retail channel to deliver financial budgets, Store visits, RM briefings etc.

It also to manage the end to end Travel Insurance proposition including training, sales, marketing and compliance whilst liaising at all levels across retail to increase insurance sales, store visits, RM briefings etc.

Day to day relationship management with key WhiteHorse stakeholders is also an important aspect of the role along with delivering and implementing the Travel Insurance strategic roadmap and covering process management to improve efficiency and customer journey.

Collaborating across the UK business and Group to identify and exploit joint commercial opportunities is also a large part of the role.

 

Skills and experience

 

The ideal candidate should have detailed knowledge of the Travel Insurance market and strong relationship management skills and experience of driving sales and marketing initiatives.

The ideal candidate should also have proven ability to effectively manage relationships by facilitating and influencing decision making at senior executive levels and a proven track record of delivering sales through multiple channels.

Proven experience of project delivery and Customer Experience Mapping would be an advantage.
