About the role

 

The role of the Member Accounts Advisor is to work as part of a team within the member accounts area, managing both customer and supplier payments whilst providing support to the team, and handling administration queries.  The role is also accountable for the delivery of a consistent customer experience by identifying and providing solutions to queries in a timely manner whilst striving for a one call/one click culture.

 

Key accountabilities / responsibilities

 

There is a responsibility for front line support for Co-operative Personal Travel Advisors and Freedom Consortia Members for customer payments and to be responsible for reconciliation of banking.

Other responsibilities include liaising with suppliers to ensure statements are paid and reconciled in a timely manner whilst supporting the specialist divisions’ management teams with the business MI and ad hoc requests.

Investigating and solving problem issues and queries in a timely and efficient manner and minimising losses to help the profit margin are also requirements of the role along with attending training sessions as requested.

Effective communication via email and telephone with suppliers and customers as well as other teams/departments within the business and handling telephone calls from the internal and external customers are also requirements of the role.

 

Skills and experience

 

The ideal candidate will have proven experience of working in the travel industry ideally from a Customer Service or administration back ground with passion and enthusiasm for world class customer service. 

We are also looking for someone who has the ability to use their own initiative and be self motivated, have excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to work and adapt to pressurised situations and have knowledge of the Travel Industry.

An understanding of Tour Operator practices and travel legislation would be an advantage.

There is a requirement for basic IT skills and to be a competent user of the Microsoft Office packages including Word/Excel/PowerPoint and also have great keyboard skills.
