About The Role

We’ve got a great job for a Production Planner to join our manufacturing operation at Rathbones in Wakefield. It's a fast paced, exciting and challenging department. Working closely with production, supply chain, trading teams and procurement, you will report to the Planning Manager, ensuring full availability of orders at all times while maintaining the end to end supply chain and supporting operational efficiency in a KPI driven environment. Morrisons takes great pride in anticipating customer needs and ensuring we have 100% availability of the freshest products delivered to store on time, and in full.

This role will be working 48 hours per week.

Requirements of the Job

As a Production Planner you will be responsible for long and short term production plans across the site. You will be responsible for planning and call offs of Raw Material requirements and communicate to external suppliers, working closely with production sites, supply chain, commercial, suppliers and technical. You will ensure full availability of orders at all times while maintaining the end to end supply chain in a KPI driven environment.

About You
You will have worked as a Manufacturing Advisor, Production Planner or equivalent, within a fast paced manufacturing environment, not necessarily within food manufacturing, although this would be a bonus. You will be experienced in demand planning with a strong understanding of forecasting tools or production scheduling. You will have excellent skills within Microsoft Office Packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint alongside working knowledge of MRP or scheduling systems such as Oracle, SAP, Iren or Preactor. You will be able to work at pace to deliver accurate results, and will be a strong communicator with people at all levels. Formal Supply Chain qualifications such as CIPS or NVWQ would be an advantage, but not essential.
