School and College Leaver programme A position on our School and college leaver programme is one of the best ways of jumping into a career with PwC early. You'll learn and develop the specialist skills our clients look for and value most and study towards a professional qualification, with support from us all the way.
The work is varied and includes investigating and analysing operational and financial risk, processes, systems and controls in order to make recommendations for improvement. Good communication, analytical skills and a strong eye for detail are therefore really important.
Tax Your knowledge will help high-profile businesses, entrepreneurs and family businesses understand complex rules and make informed decisions with significant impacts. You'll also help governments ensure the efficient operation of tax systems, and use your insight to solve long-term problems. You'll be part of a business that's committed to proactively engaging with the tax policy debate and focused on leading views and new ideas.
Compliance Services Team Our tax practice has transformed our Tax Compliance proposition and delivery model to combine our three service streams; Corporate, Personal and Global Mobility compliance. Working within the Compliance Services (CS) team you’ll have the opportunity to work with our high profile clients, whether on corporate, individual or expatriate tax returns.
What you’ll will do
Deliver clean data for preparation activities.
Work with our clients for data to gather information for data exchange
Responsibility for requesting data from client and taxpayers.
Make sure that any non-standard activity is captured and shared in advance of undertaking the work
Prepare tax works/calculations, making any necessary amendments based on instruction from the reviewer, client portfolio leader, client or taxpayer
What you'll gain You'll enjoy plenty of practical, on-the-job training while studying for a professional qualification with the ICAEW - a Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business (CFAB). We'll give you study leave to go to college plus plenty of support, but you'll need to study in your own time too. The hard work will be worth it though when you pick up your qualification. And the great thing is, by the time you complete your exams, you'll have lots of valuable experience to build on.
What you need to get in
You'll need to have or be on course for 112 UCAS tariff* (or equivalent)
You'll need to have a Grade C or above in GCSE English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent)
*from up to three A Levels (excluding General Studies) or equivalent, taken in the same academic year and achieved at first sitting
Please note that if you have a degree, you may find our graduate opportunities more appropriate. Having a degree does not lead to faster progression through this programme.
