Part-Time Admin Assistant for Travel & Lifestyle PR Agency in London

Do you have a passion for travel? Are you looking for first-hand experience of working in PR? We have an exciting part-time vacancy available for an enthusiastic admin assistant to join our team. This role would be the perfect fit for a university student or graduate in London who is keen to add valuable work experience to their CV on a part-time basis.

We will provide the assistant with flexible hours to fit around their studies or other commitments and just ask for attendance at a weekly team meeting on a Monday or Tuesday (exact timing is flexible).

What are you going to do

We're GEC PR, a small but well-respected travel and lifestyle PR agency and we're looking for an admin assistant who can work from our office in West London's Chiswick for around 1 – 2 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

The role's duties will include tasks such as:

  • Searching and saving client coverage published in media outlets
  • Updating contact databases
  • Assisting the team in collating PR reports
  • Compiling weekly and monthly market intelligence research and keeping an eye on travel trends and current affairs
  • Ad hoc office duties and tasks such as managing the office stationary supplies

What we ask:

  • BA or MA Communication, English, Media desirable
  • some previous work experience is desirable though not essential
  • Available to start in March 2018
  • Must be presentable and have superb oral and written communication skills
  • Should have excellent time management skills and the ability to handle duties and responsibilities efficiently
  • Must be competent with Microsoft Office programmes, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • The ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn and ability to work well in a team
  • A passion for travel is a must
  • No previous PR or marketing experience is required, but prior knowledge of PR or marketing would be beneficial
