Content & Marketing Executive - University Placement in London

Fantastic opportunity for a Social Media savvy wordsmith to join our growing Love Velo brand, based in Farringdon, London, as a Content & Marketing Executive.

What are you going to do

This role presents a unique opportunity to join an exciting, young and innovative travel startup and by joining early in our journey you will have the opportunity to learn, grow and develop within the business.

Hours: 5 days a week with a 9 hour shift between the hours of 9-5.30, Monday to Friday.

The nature of this role requires a Social Media guru who has a strong social following and is very active on Insta, Fbook and Twitter platforms. Day to day responsibilities

You will be working in a fast paced and challenging role building on the existing brand and delivering innovative new content and ideas to drive web traffic and social media interactions with our brand. This will include;

  • Maintenance and evolution of our lovevelo.co.uk website, creating unique content and uploading new travel itineraries.
  • Writing interesting blog content that is SEO friendly and of interest to the cycling community and holidaymakers.
  • Writing interesting blog and story content for our official partners, British Cycling.
  • The day-to-day management and development of the Love Velo social media communities across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Strava. You will manage the planning and the execution of all social media content across multiple platforms, as well as reporting on KPIs to relevant stakeholders.
  • Overall maintenance, development and optimisation of all social media channels including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive and streamlined image database from suppliers, tourist boards.
  • To assist the Director, sales team and sales manager as required.
  • Working alongside key stakeholders to create & plan a strategic social marketing strategy which will drive traffic to the website, increase brand awareness & social engagement.
  • Implementation and management of all paid social media campaigns ensuring they are delivered within budgets and within agreed timeframes.
  • Writing twice weekly newsletters for the Love Velo database.
  • Reporting on all social media activity to key stakeholders providing insights and actions to continually optimise activity.
  • Staying up to date with industry best practice guidelines and competitor activity.

What we ask:

  • Minimum degree: currently studying
  • Minimum work experience: travel, marketing, social media experience a benefit
  • Candidates should be studying a relevant degree either sport, travel or business related.
  • A passion for social media evidenced by your own platforms.
  • Writing interesting content, well researched with an attention for detail.
  • A passion for cycling.
  • An understanding of the cycling holidays consumer market is essential and key to the design of relevant campaigns and content.
  • Excellent grasp of the English language and grammar.
  • An understanding of SEO and how to write engaging content that is SEO friendly.
  • Good use of Excel, Word, Photoshop (or similar).
  • Ability to report on campaign activity.
  • Results driven.
  • Carry effective organisational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure.
