Print and Digitisation Studio Intern in London

This is a diverse and expanding role with a steep learning curve.You will see how a small business runs from day to day, including how a fine art print business achieves sales, keeps customers happy and delivers excellent print products.

Between £14,999 and £15,000 Per Year

What are you going to do:

You will learn how to cut, manage, collate, package and dispatch giclee prints for individual artists through to larger galleries. And use our digitisation studio, including scanning artwork, photographing large paintings and colour management setups.

You must have:

A good technical background, comfortable with basic maths, problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Expertise and competence of Adobe Photoshop.

Excellent IT skills - especially with Mac OSX. The experience of web applications such as Zendesk an advantage.

An interest in visual arts and a passion for the products and services that we provide.

Excellent communication skills, good spoken and written English is a must. You will need to create and maintain relationships with professional artists, photographers, galleries and account customers.

Capacity to juggle multiple tasks and jobs at the same time.

You should have a keen interest in the technical side of digital imaging, printing, scanning and retouching. You should be punctual, polite and hard working with a view to helping the business grow.

Your main duties will involve:

  • Careful management and dispatch of all our giclee printing
  • Cutting, handling and packing giclee prints for individual artists through to larger galleries
  • Organising the dispatching of the prints via Royal Mail and other couriers
  • Learning about all the products and services we offer
  • Dealing with customers and setting up orders
  • Learning how to use all our admin and ecommerce systems
  • Assisting with any tasks within your skillset
  • Taking on new tasks and projects that stretch your abilities
