Bucksmore are a leading provider of prestigious summer programmes for students of all agents. In 2017, we welcomed 2,500 students from 75 countries. As well as the various summer courses advertised on our website allowing any individual student to enroll, we also welcome a large number of Chinese groups from the middle of July.
These are a mix of primary school, middle school, and undergraduategroups. Typically they are 'closed groups' and they each have a personalized timetable agreed in advance with the school or our partners in China. The courses range from more traditional EFL programmes for younger students to advanced, university level courses combining English classes with subjects as diverse as medicine, nanotechnology, and business and innovation.
We welcome these groups to various locations across the UK, but primarily to King Edward's School Witley, and to multiple Oxford and Cambridge University Colleges.
The majority of programmes will have been agreed before the start date of this role with the Managing Director and Bucksmore Director of Chinese Business. The Groups Programme Coordinator (GPC) will be expected to take the lead on the planning and delivery of the various programmes, acting as the main point of contact for international partners, Bucksmore centre staff, and the host colleges used for the courses. The GPC will work closely with the other members of the Bucksmore summer operations team to ensure all programmes are delivered to the highest possible standard.
Experience in dealing with Chinese business partners in any industry would be of considerable value, as would a working knowledge of the management of residential educational programmes.
A high level of competency in both administrative and operational tasks is absolutely essential to ensure the successful delivery of these programmes.
Bucksmore is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The post holder's responsibilities for safeguarding the welfare of the young students for whom they are responsible and with whom they come into contact, will adhere to Bucksmore's Child Protection Policy.
