Job description

  • Norwich Tuckswood
  • Position Description

Join us and you'll become part of a team that works together to provide the best, friendliest service for all our customers.  There is plenty of scope and variety with this role.  Specific responsibilities involved in serving customers include working on the tills taking accurate orders, and working in the kitchen to produce high quality food.

An apprenticeship is a nationally recognised work-based learning programme which enables Team Members to gain new skills, knowledge and behaviours to develop in their role.  Our apprenticeships gives you the opportunity to earn the same wage as other employees, whilst gaining additional qualifications.

The level 2 Hospitality Team Member apprenticeship is the equivalent to 5 GCSE’s grade A* - C and runs for a minimum of 13 months.  This apprenticeship is open to all new starters within their first six months of employment and will follow our Crew Development Programme which has been mapped to the apprenticeship standard.

Further apprenticeship progression can lead onto the level 3 Hospitality Supervisor apprenticeship, equivalent to 2 A Levels, and the level 6 Chartered Manager Honours Degree Apprenticeship.

    Position Requirements

Quite simply, you'll be working in our fast moving, high energy environment and we’re looking for bubbly personalities with genuine smiles, plus an ability to connect with every customer to make them feel valued.

To benefit from the apprenticeship program, you must be aged 16 or over and not in any other full-time education or training.  Furthermore, you must have been a UK/EU resident for 3 years or more.

    Position Attributes

To join us as a Crew Member Apprentice you’ll need to be confident in approaching and dealing with diverse groups of people.  Friendly, courteous and helpful behaviour will come naturally to you and you’ll work well as part of a team. You’ll also need to understand the importance of maintaining high standards of quality and service as well as cleanliness.

Apprentices will need to be motivated, hardworking and have good time keeping skills.  You will also be required to attend meetings with your Apprenticeship Mentor and Lifetime Trainer so effective communication skills are a must-have, including skills like attentive listening, face-to-face verbal communication and eye contact.
