About The Role
We are currently recruiting an experienced and qualified Accountant to be based within our Spalding Manufacturing abattoir site in Lincolnshire. This position is a full-time, permanent role reporting directly into the Site Finance Manager.
 
Our Spalding site is an abattoir that was re-developed in 2008 covering 164,000 sq ft on 7.5 acres of land. They have in excess of 850 colleagues and run a predominantly 5 day operation. They supply Morrisons stores as well as our Morrisons Manufacturing sites, Farmers Boy, with raw materials to produce a full range of butchery products including materials for sausage, pies and cooked meats.

Finance is crucial to Morrisons’ success. You’ll help us get a clear picture of our figures through insightful analysis. You’ll study reported performance against expectations; the drivers behind our business performance; and the risks and opportunities available. In many ways, you’ll be a business partner, presenting this key information at stakeholder meetings. You’ll also play a lead role in forecasting and budgeting, working with different functions to provide accurate figures. Your support can make all the difference. For instance, you’ll be constantly looking to improve our processes. You’ll also help us react fast in a dynamic industry, by providing Managers with vital analysis.
About You
A qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA), you’ll be right at home in a fast-paced business. You love being part of a team and working with colleagues within and outside Finance. You’re able to draw on an organised approach, a gift for solving problems plus advanced Excel skills. Knowledge of Oracle would also be helpful.
 
Ideally, you will have experienced of being an Accountant in a Manufacturing/Production team, however, this is not essential as long as you're comfortable with it!
