Senior Technology Manager - Data and BI in Bradford

We’ve got a fantastic opportunity for a  Data Services Senior Manager to join the Technology team at our support centre in Bradford.

As part of the Data Services Team you will be helping to deliver value from Morrisons data assets. The role will manage a development and service management function across a range of technologies from traditional data warehousing through to Big Data.

Targeting Agile and DevOps ways of working this role will be responsible for increasing and maintaining transparency of activities carried out by the team and improving business confidence. 

Here at Morrisons our Data Services Senior Manager does the following;

• Manage development and service management teams. Putting in place Agile and DevOps ways of working. Line management responsibility of a team of permanent colleagues and management of 3rd party supplier teams (upwards of 50 resources)
• Improving business front-door processes, maintaining transparency of progress and improving business confidence in delivery
• Influence and communicate across a wide range of senior stakeholders, both internal and external to Morrisons. The role will engage a number of areas of the business to identify current and future needs with the ability to articulate future opportunities in a non-technical language and quickly identify business benefits
• Responsible for defining the future reporting roadmap 
• Keeps track of market trends and best practice as a source of improvement 

What skills and qualifications do I need to be a successful Data Services Senior Manager?

• Experience leading Business Intelligence functions of similar organisations
• Proven track record of taking responsibility for decisions and assurance across complex changes
• Experience in working on large-scale, distributed architectures 
• Experience working with mixed and distributed teams
• Agile and DevOps
• Oracle, Qlikview, Tableau and other reporting tools
• Oracle data warehouse technology
• Google Cloud Services
