Digital Marketing Executive - Paid Search – Peterborough

Purpose

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Ecommerce team based in our Peterborough head office.  Possessing previous experience of working on PPC campaigns, it will be your responsibility to drive site traffic and meet commercial objectives through the delivery of PPC activities, delivering good quality foot fall to all Thomas Cook websites. Ensuring plans are delivered on time and to budget whilst also identifying key trends in performance data and making recommendations for commercial benefit.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Deliver PPC campaigns across multiple engines and multiple brands to ensure that the site traffic and performance goals are met
• Provide accurate and insightful analysis of sales & traffic data including performance and efficiency for given projects
• Constantly seek to improve the performance of PPC  activity through an understanding of customer needs and behaviour to inform activity and action
• Work with all areas of the E-commerce team to ensure a consistent and integrated approach to customer communications and promotions
• Monitor and deliver the PPC activity plan in line with commercial objectives and produce comprehensive reporting around given projects
• Develop strong and enduring relationships with PPC  partners
• Assist with site development, creating promotions and landing pages to improve traffic and conversion
• Optimise activity including content, copy and position to meet the targets

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following;

• Experience of working on PPC campaigns
• Experience of developing and maintaining  strong  partner relationships
• Experience of working in a multi-site environment
• Experience of analysing reporting and acting on data
• Great communication skills
• Great problem solving skills

It will also be favourable if the chosen candidate could demonstrate;

• Working knowledge of PPC platforms Adwords or Bing
• 1-2 years’ experience with web metrics platforms such as: Adobe Analytics/SiteCatalyst, Google Analytics, WebTrends, etc.
• Experience in web metrics reporting and troubleshooting
• Highly proficient at using Microsoft excel
• Understanding of how web data is captured and tracked
• Worked within a marketing department or agency
• Google AdWords certified
