Role: External Leasing Executive

 

Location: Manchester

 

Working Hours: 37.5

 

Job Purpose: To manage and co-ordinate the execution of all long term leasing partner activities within the Thomas Cook Group Airlines.

  

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Deliver all Thomas Cook Group Airlines aircraft transfers within project scope.
  • Ownership of all strategic leasing activities for the Thomas Cook Group Airlines, ensuring all KPI’s are met
  • Prepare monthly reporting on status of all strategic leasing activities.
  • Confirm to the business, the project is delivered within scope and budget.
  • Responsible for monthly progress reports that tracks all Commercial, Operational and Financial targets
  • Liaison with the regulator (via internal stakeholders) for the transfer of TCGA aircraft.
  • Project manage the transfer of aircraft to and from strategic partners.
  • Negotiate and confirm to the business, the commercial terms of all long term Wet Lease agreements
  • Identify future opportunities around leasing out of Thomas Cook Group aircraft and the leasing in of third party capacity 
  • Review leasing financials and track status, reporting any risks

    Key Performance Indicators

     

  • Delivery of all strategic leases on time
  • Identification of additional leasing opportunities.
  • Delivery of strategic leases within budget

     

Budget owned

 

  • All Wet Lease P&L, budgets & Forecasts with control of costs in excess of £30m per year

     

Capabilities Profile – technical skills/knowledge, experience & track record.

 

Must have:

 

  • Project management – Implementation of complex leasing activities with strategic partners..
  • Customer Orientation – Understanding the requirements of the strategic partners and delivering on the reasonable expectations.

     

     

  • Strategic and Commercial Awareness -  Understands the commercial realities of the leasing business and is able to clearly articulate the opportunities and risks to the leadership team.
  • Analytical Skills – Based upon data readily available, able to analyse and identify trends and utilise root cause analysis to improve project performance.
  • Negotiation skills  - Is able to use negotiation skills to identify levers within negotiation and recommend a course of action
  • Stakeholder Management – Create working relationships to ensure all internal stakeholders are aware of project status and opportunities and risks.
  • Change Management – Able to identify change required and achieve stakeholder engagement  to implement change.
  • Must work well under pressure and be able to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrates creativity, recommending innovative approaches to work
  • Is aware of driving forward and supporting business strategies to maximise performance

  • Likeable / confident personality
  • Flexibility to be able to travel and spend time away from home

     

Qualifications, Training, Professional Memberships or Accreditations

 

  • At least 3 years’ experience in Aviation
  • Experienced in contract negotiation with the ability to understand key Commercial provisions
  • Experience in delivering complex cross border projects
  • Has a sound knowledge of aircraft leasing market conditions in relation to Wet, Damp and Dry lease rates
