This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants the strategic lead on design direction across Home and Seasonal categories.
Both internally and externally facing the role requires the candidate to look externally at the market for product and design trends through trend fairs, inspirational trips and product selection trips to create style guides, surface patterns, and colours stories.
Directing the internal buying teams to create new products and ranges to deliver growth targets as well as leading on identifying range gaps to build future range direction.
The candidate will be working with the sourcing and buying teams as well as the factories as the strategic lead on design direction for the Home & Seasonal ranges. Working with the teams commercially to build product ranges, taking learning's from what worked and what didn’t and looking for ways to evolve our proposition.
There will be a fair amount of travel with this role on an international level therefore flexibility is key.
What are we looking for:
Broad trend experience across a range of product categories.
Previous ownership of strategic design direction.
Understanding of implementing ways of working between UK buying teams and Far East sourcing offices.
Capability for creative styling through visual merchandising and marketing asset creation.
Far East sourcing and development experience.
Product design for retail environment.
