Senior Supplier Manager - Peterborough

Job purpose:   

Responsible for managing, and continuously improving the IT supplier management process, to ensure maximum benefit is achieved from thee strategic IT supplier contracts for a spend of £40M annually.  Define and be responsible for the strategy for the management of  Group IT suppliers. Lead the software licencing with the key suppliers and manage the software compliance process to reduce non-compliance- spend of £10M annually.  Manage a team of supplier managers and licence managers

Key accountabilities:

• Accountable for the management all  key IT suppliers and contracts and manage the operational relationships- £40M spend annually.
• Drive and deliver additional growth opportunities in those contracts and ensure the maximum potential is driven from those relationships.
• Accountable for the management of all IT software contracts, increasing compliance and reducing audit risk- £10M spend annually
• Manage, motivate and develop a team of four Supplier Managers and a Licence Manager based across Europe.
• Accountable for the  monitoring of contracted service levels, operational levels, KPI’s and financials for all IT supplier contracts, with a focus on the top 20 suppliers, and ensuring risk is mitigated.
• In collaboration with Procurement, drive company bid activity and ensure compliance with bid processes.

Responsible for the initiation and amangement of  Group wide Supplier Scorecards for all Group IT areas engaging with, and reporting to, the Group IT Leadership team and Procurement.

Skills, know-how and experience:

• Good communication & stakeholder management skills to Director Level
• Proven track record of demonstrating a service oriented attitude with the ability to balance competing priorities.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to influence and inspire both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to engage with a broad range of people from front-line architects and operations to high level business users.
• Ability to take a proactive approach to overcome challenges and achieve results
• Appreciation of customer service expectations and cost demands of business
• Experience in management of suppliers, financial reporting and contracts.

Preferred:

• Experience in working in and with international group/regional environment and multiple business disciplines.
