Research assistants based in Bradford, Manchester and Glasgow are needed to carry out field surveys. This research project will examine philanthropic giving among the British Pakistani diaspora.
Selected applicants in each city will collect 12 surveys a day over three days, using digital tools (smartphones or laptops). Each survey will take 30 minutes to complete. Survey respondents can be drawn from researcher's own social and professional networks. They will also be tasked with circulating the survey online through their networks and receive additional remuneration for each survey completed in this way.
Remuneration will be up to £600. Paid training and local travel expenses will be provided. This role would suit social science or humanities students. People of colour, women, LGBTQ individuals and people with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply. Urdu speakers will be given preference.
