About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Category Improvement Manager to join our Market Street Team.  You will use your production and continuous improvement expertise, to help us to identify and implement improvements to how we manufacture products in Market Street.  


Working across Market Street, you will be responsible for building the most efficient and service focused standard operating procedures, removing all types of waste and improving consistency, service and quality.  



This is a Nationwide role and you must be willing to travel, have a driving licence and be willing to cover Retail hours (some early, late and weekend shifts required)


About You

Knowledge Required:


  • Knowledge and understanding of a Market street style operation

  • Strong experience in a fresh food manufacturing business, with a proven track record of improving quality, service, and yield.

  • Experience in driving efficiencies in Manufacturing operations

  • Knowledge of defining, rolling out and process confirming standard ways of working

  • Lean / Business Improvement training

 

Skills Required:


  • Standard Operating Procedures design and documentation.

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Strong influencing skills

  • Ability to drive performance improvement

  • Ability to build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders

  • Analytical thinking

  • Able to transfer knowledge to managers across the organisation

 

Experience Required:


  • Experience within a fresh food retailer or manufacturer and an understanding of business improvement tools and culture is required

  • Manufacturing process (food) – Required

  • Knowledge/Experience of a Retail environment desirable
