Release Manager in Bradford

We’ve created a new opportunity for a Release Manager to join our technology team based at our Head Office in Bradford. You’ll be joining a dynamic and fast paced digital technology team, the team are in the process of introducing Agile delivery methodology for which this newly introduced role is crucial.

What will you do in the role of Release Manager?

• Own the Release Management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases across Technology for multiple applications across various portfolios

• Lead the effort of defining the strategic direction for release management tools for Technology

• Implement and manage release processes for code through development, test, and production environments

• Build the Technology Release Calendar

What do you need to be a success in the role?

• Previous release and/or project management experience

• Experience in information systems operations environment in systems analysis or development

• Solid understanding of project management principles

• Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle

• General PC knowledge including Google Apps

• Experience in the use of Atlassian tools (Big Picture, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) is preferred

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion

• Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills

• Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must
